Here are a few pics of my Nitro Slash. I bought it as a roller and added these parts to complete it:
- Dynamite .19 w/Traxxas pull start
OFNA air filter
HPI spring mount header
Associated 7731 pipe
Robinson Hardened 23T clutch bell
Proline Baja body
Suprasales 1/8-scale slicks
Dynamite 17mm conversion
I got rid of all my nitro stuff and converted my Inferno GT2 and my SCT-Maxx to brushless....then I missed the nitro. Sure, the Inferno (Hobbywing 150A and Leopard 2000kv 4082 on 6s) will rip this Slash a new one, but there is just something about driving the Slash that is so fun. Not real pleased with the body. I got it and painted it up before the Slash arrived at my house and I didn't consider the fact that the Nitro version has so much overhang in the rear with the battery box and then the bumper. I'm almost thinking about a Parma 55 Chevy body to hide all the stuff in the back.
Here is a few pics of my slash.basically all stock except for trx steering knuckles, and electric slash RPM rear arms (don't have them for the nitro) made to fit, and pin kit for the rear arms so i never have to deal with screws backing out.
Spare mounted on the rear helps with rear end traction in the sand and works great as a wheelie bar, but doesn't look as stupid.
Converted my old tired rusty to a nitro slash
Finished up the stickers and added the number plates
Here's mine. STRC rear bulhead, shock tower & 3 shoe clutch / Atomik front shock tower c blocks and hubs F&R / Jconcepts choppers and hi flow body / MIP racing [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]cvd's / GTR shocks / RPM front arms / single chamber tuned pipe.
My new Nitro Slash project. I've been kicking myself ever since I sold the Slash I posted a few posts up. I bought all the parts for this one from a major kit breaker that probably isn't allowed to be mentioned here. Also, to avoid the banhammer, it h as non-Traxxas engine, pipe, metal gear servos and 17mm conversion. Oh, and there is one other upgrade from Traxxas. Can you spot it?
Currently waiting on body and tuned pipe mounting wire to show up in the mail.
New year and new look. I found out that the Slash I posted above is stupid fast with the GovaToasti engine and Jato tranny combo, so it got lowered with some Traxxas GTR shocks, springs, and Murabax Bandito tires. The SloPine Pro-Touring Silverado body just came in, but I'm going to get it prepped for paint and its going to be my on-road vehicle now that I got a cheap Pharma Denton for $249 from Flower Slobbies that is insane offroad on 6S and indestructible. The Slash was too light and constantly airborne even with cutouts on the Raptor body I had, but not airborn in a fun way.
I had to trim the front and completely chop the rear bumper. I'm going to lower the rear body mount one hole and that should give it just a slight rake to the rear when I'm done.
