Sorry about the pic's guys,my friend is far more computer literate than I. When he stops by,ill have him show me how to do it.
They were nothing special, just some snow wheelies, with sand paddle tires.
For a 2wd it rips right through 3".

I run, http://prolineracing.com/tires/dirt-...n-truck-tires/ On a groomed snow track. #6 self tapping sheet metal screw. The large lug supports the spike very well.

That sounds like fun,I have two friends, just a couple miles from here, one has a nice oval, the other, right across the street, has a nice curvy short track, with a lot of nice jumps.
As you may have guessed,I live out in the sticks.
The average back yard up here is several acher's,not all private,a lot is state land, but they don't mess with us.
It's the real 4wd truck's that tear things up.

I'm very familiar with your area been sledding up there since the early 90's, very beautiful country side, I love waterfalls. Sounds
like you need to make a couple of phone calls, and make it happen.

That's cool, where do you sled? Ski slops, or just some of the many nice sledding hill's around here? One nice thing about being a local,is you know were all the places most others don't. If your young and healthy enough, there are some dunes that will rock your world! as long as you don't have a heart attack climbing back up.

A 7 second car, very nice. No worries about pic's, the mod's on this site understand that things happen. The Alley section is a good place to talk about other stuff. At least you're able to post pic's. I opened a photobucket and that's as far as I got. Been looking for a site where I can test on. I'm old-school and still trying to teach myself, hehe we'll se how that goes.

[IMG][/IMG]Sorry bad pic, fine tuning the night before,I also chained the the lower a arms,to reduced the bonce when the front end came back down.
maybe that's where the 3/4s of a second came from?
I didn't have to get out of the throttle to steer it as much.

Oh the first pic #22 was a ford 302, bored and stroked to a 347.
It had a three stage nitros system,The plate was a 150 shot,the forger was a 200 shot,the third,direct was 200.
The motor put out 500 on it's own.
That,s1,050 horsepower.(Note a stock 302 ford block is rated at 500 max!) Live and learn.
Third run,oil pressure dropped fast when I hit the forger, that's 850 hp. got it home, saw a small crack when I pulled the distributor.
Followed said crack, thru the valley, to the back of the block, oil presser went when the block split in two.
My fault, should have went with a point block, believe it or not,all the internal parts were UN harmed!
After disassembling,It took about 25 hit's with a 10 pound sleg,to make a 302 v8 block,two 151 straight four's ha ha
You think rc are costly?

Once I get the Billit rear tuned,to keep the front end down more, i'll put a fogger with a 200 shot to it,1,185hp at about half track. If it grips(not break the tires lose)Im hopine for high to mid 7s.[ QUOTE=billy-bones;5348928]this is the one um running now,mid 8s motor only!no nos,or supercharger,or turbo,Dyno at 985 hp at the rear wheels.[IMG][/IMG]
Not mine.small ford aluminum point block. Crank driven supercharger. my cousin is building it for a guy down in Warren Mi.
Approximate finished cost. $45,000.Motor only.
Performance,according to computer build specs.
Horse power 900 at 8,500rpm.Max torque 780lbs at 8,000 rpms
Supercharger boost.(not yet determined)computer control,temp, altitude,engine timing,pavement temp,air humidity,
All will be taken in account, and tuned by a laptop pluged into the motors on board computer, set just before staging.
Just like rc's,drag racing is all different as well.
If all work's properly, the car, from 65 degrees Fahrenheit to 90 Fahrenheit should run consistent low to mid 7s 1/4 mile.
complete tube frame,16 point cage. Covered by a fiber glass mustang body.
estimated horse power at max boost,Near 1,500 hp, max torque?
Trying to build a car as close to pro stock, with out being pro stock class,6.9999 seconds1/4 mile.
My quickest 1/4 m time 7.36 et,have never seen the 7s mark again.
.37,thirty seven hundreds of a second, might not seem like much.
But getting into the 10s is easy, after that every.25 of a second, can cost thousands!
But the rush i cant explain.I'm sure ill never see the 7s again, but then again,i never thought i ever would period.
This summer will be my last.I'm 53.Time for my son to take the rains.
Last pic,and back to rcs.[IMG][/IMG]
