    Good bass guitar to get?

Looking for a 4 or 5 string bass in the $100 - $350 range. This is one I have my eyes on... http://www.guitarcenter.com/ESP-LTD-...59-i1797709.gc Any thoughts?

Hey man if you want a quick answer go over the the seymour duncan forum.
I'm a member on there under the same name, since I am learning to play 6 string electric. (Well, kind of)
They are active over there and answer really fast and seem to be highly knowledgeable.

well i would say look arround and play some and if you are willing to go used then you can buy one for cheaper, i ended up buying a $800 Fender Mark Hoppus bass on ebay for $275 and it just had some chips in the finish on the back. as for forums i would also recommend talkbass .

G&L makes great basses but they're a little pricey. Ibanez used to make good ones... find a 1980's Ibanez bass and it'll be the best playing, best sounding bass you can get. I have a sweet vintage 1972 Fender Jazz Bass taking up room in my gun cabinet.
