At the moment I have the guy at the Hobby centre trying to sell me the Traxxas Revo 3.3 or the Slayer Pro.
basically im on this site hoping someone can justify the $100 price jump from the Slayer Pro up to the Revo?
Is it worth the extra cash? Is it really that much better? Or is the slayer pro just as awesome?
Any tips/suggestions would be awesome! This is just for burning around local BMX track or dirt roads.
It has a wider footprint so it is less prone to rolling over. There are minor differences here and there. You could go with the Slayer and then convert to a Revo and vise versa but the cost is going to be about the same.
The Super Derecho
Do what I did.....buy both!!!
I love both equally, but I find Slayer a bit faster since it is smaller/lighter.
Revo has more clearance and I find performs better on the rough terrain, etc.
i would go for the revo anyday
humay has left the building, peace.
Revo man, you'll thank yourself. not that i have experiance with the slayer..just i love the revo; its a great, all around truck.
Revo 3.3 FTW!!
If you were to buy the A-arms, out-drives, wheels/tire and bumpers for the slayer is there a wide enough range in spur gears to swap back and forth with minimal effort? I have a Revo and had a Slayer for a short time. The Slayer seemed more responsive on the track than the Revo and might have actually been faster. But the Revo does seem to keeps its rubber-side down better. I have been considering converting my Revo to a Slayer but I would keep all the Revo parts too.
Ended up getting the Slayer (ended up coming down to price) and will eventually buy the bits and pieces over time to convert to Revo style.
Cheers for input.
