    Slow Motion Drifting

So i put some HPI drift tires on my rally and had a go for an hour with my Casio EX-FH20 high speed camera. Some parts are recorded at 210 fps (7 times slower than a normal 30 fps camera) and some are taken at 1000 fps (more than 33 times slower). I put the clips together into a movie and set it to music for you guys. Hope you enjoy it.

Cheers, will check him out. Kinda inspired to pick up some proper drift slicks, too...

Yeah, like i said, the tires are HPI Drift tires (can't remember exactly which ones) but i've also made my own with some 2" pvc cut and glued onto some black HPI rims. They work almost as well as the HPI tires, though i will admit they have slightly less traction and are not as predictable. I'm hoping i can get them to work just as well by tweaking the suspension a bit. Id rather pay for $0.50 of pvc every year than buy $30 of "drift tires" every month.

nice. I want to do the same for my stampede 4x4. would you happen to know what size pvc would fit 2.8" rims?

probably going to need to go with a smaller wheel...... 2" pvc works because touring car tires are generally 1.9"

you might be able to get away with a 3" pvc tube, but I haven't tried it, so I can't confirm.....

as far as that video, nice job.... reminds me of the lexus drift commercial out now
