    Post 1 16 e-revo

So if you want a to buy a Traxxas thats cheeper than the brushless than I suggest you to get a Traxxas 1 16 e-revo brushed with a new XL2.5 with low voltage detection Titan 12t 550 and the blue Lipo 2200MAH 7.4volt 25c. iIts fast, durable, and quick.

cheaper yes and your setup for big block like that already just add a new motor/esc to it and your set if you want brushless power. the titan 12t's are known for not lasting too long maybe in a 1/16 it might because of the lighten load off it compared to 1/10's.

This one only has a few aluminum parts. Trying to keep it light but strong for her bashing like this! Click on the photo

I put the 2200 lipo in my XL5 and it blew immediately, the second I turned it on, it caught on fire and took off at full speed smashing itself in to a wall.

that is weird your xl-5 did that because they are suppose to be able to handle up to 9.6v from what i remember. did you break anything when it did that?

Didn't matter to me, it just forced me to upgrade to the Velineon 3500. Nothing broke when it hit the wall, but it left skid marks on the wall.

The fire was fire, so it was normal fire colour.

I agree the XL5 shouldn't have done that, but there was clearly a wiring issue inside the unit or something, and MAN did the chassis stink afterwards - nothing I did got rid of it. Ended up just buying a new one, which worked out for me as well because that allowed me to easily dye it.
