speed difference between 4s and 5s

i have the castle mamba max pro (2400kv) and running stock gearing with a 4s battery. my question is how much faster do you think my slash would go if i got a 5s battery? would it be worth the money to buy a 5s? also what kind of gearing would you suggest?

Stock 13/54 is undergeared. I run 16 and 17/54 in the summer on 4s and it never goes above 135

Esc is rated at 6s, the motor is rated at 4s. Some people get away with 5s but you run a risk of killing the motor

My MMP powered my Erevo on 5s with a castle 1800kv motor for a while before burning up.

It can do it but I'd limit it to 4s based on my experience and get an MMM for 5 or 6s lipo to be safe. Not many guys run a MMM in the P4de but why not.

If I use a 18 pinion won't I lose some acceleration on the low end? I know I will gain top speed. What do you think about doing a smaller spur too?

I run the 2400 geared 18/50 on 4s and it is super fast with gob's of acceleration.

Castle often is quite confusing with it's specs. On the can it clearly says 5S. Not recommended IMO.

Motor voltage limit (listed on the can) has nothing to do with castle suggested use in a heavy SC truck (3s or 4s)

5s would only be 50,000 rpms and the Neu based motors are good for 60,000
