WoW! The second thread here...
I picked up a Blast for son and we've swapped out the stock esc, motor, RX/TX, & NiMH with The VXL-3s/Velineon 3500 Brushless Motor, DX6i, sr3100, & 5000MAH 3s.
Here's where it gets tricky. As you can guess it was tp much power. When it hit high speeds it would flip and do a 180 in the air. So I then went down to a 5000MAH 2s. Still flips. Added some trim tabs, and still flips. I ordered a 2200MAH 2s so it will reduce the weight in the front but, I'm not sure about the trim tab placement. The ones I got a for a 26'' hulled boat. Here are some pic's.
So what do y'all think? Need to move them? Where? Any help will be great.
Oh yeah, forgot to add the boat travels nice and flat across the water. I did raise the angle of the prop shaft a little.
I have a Blast and use it for a retreival boat. I commend you for upgrading the motor and esc. Im guessing its pretty fast now..
