Pics for here and URC forums hehehehe
I am using the protrac kit so I had to add a longer body mount pin which I grabbed from a slash battery kit for roughly $5 and I also used my old bushings to give an extra 1/4 inch of lift to the body posts in the front as well. . . I do not think you would have to do this if you didn't have the Protrac kit.

Since these pics I have upgraded to the LCG kit Enjoy

Sorry to get off topic, but I just bought one of those bodies and was looking to do something like downtown's. What was used to mask the body off?

I masked some of the black trim with Tamiya masking tape and a paint brush and the rest I did with this microbrush. I used the Pactra bottle paint. The microbrush is kinda like using a fat felt tip pen. Then after a couple of light coats on the trim, I used the atomic rust spray. Then after that I cut some trim from the window masks and then sprayed it all with backing black. It turned out better than I thought. The key for me was to simply take your time. I don't use a hair dryer or anything like that. I wait at least 6 hours between coats, and very light coats. Here is a pic I took of the mask tape during the process.

Looks like the JC Raptor body goes real well with the Desperados eh guys?
Heres mine, I still got some decals to apply, as it looks alittle naked right now without alittle somethin, somethin. And like the Protrac Kit, The JC Raptor body doesnt like the STRC rear shock tower.

Inlaid Carbon fiber in body. One off.

Yes 2.2. And the wear on them is good. Even with 3s which takes its toll on rubber more then it should. Just rotate them after every other run or when you notice the knobs starting to angle and they will last you awhile. I've had those for 4 months and tons of runs. Oh and stay off asphalt that makes them wear a lot quicker. Naturally.

if i were you i'd apply some fibreglass to the inside of the body to help reinforce the body. All you need is fibre glass resin, liquid hardner and fibreglass strips just take the strips and coat them FULLY with resin and hardener and place on the inside of your body cover it ALL. leave for like 30-60 depending on the amount of hardener used and there you have it a strong body!

Yeah I would NEVER do that. . . If you want it to be more durable just cover the windows and spray Plasti dip on the inside. . . I did that whole drywall tape and shoe goo method. . . And it turned my wife's GORGEOUS paint job into snake skin looking poo poo. . . Shoe goo has several ingredients that resemble paint thinner and it start flaking and cracking and putting drywall tape lines ALL over the paint job. . Along with adding some good weight to it.

Aftermarket bodies are FAR more durable then stock printed ones. . . And if your gonna coat it use Plasti-dip or something like it. . .

Ratrod, Thanks. I usually use the liquid latex. It is much faster to cut that stuff out than to try and mask it with tape. Enjoying the raptors pics. Keep them coming.

So Craig-revo you done all of that with liquid mask? How do you cut such straight lines? I've got some liquid mask I've just been scared my lines wouldn't be straight.
