Painted this up today. 1/10th scale PL Ford Raptor. Its painted after a similar design I did, though this time around its in green. The pictures really don't do the green much justice. Its a deep green with plenty of layers in it. Some custom mixed some straight out of the bottle. Black shadowed skulls added for even more depth. Next layer is CF with a pin of chrome. Up front are straight black, classic flames pinned with lime green. Everything is hand cut and airbrushed.
Turned out really nice! Little jealous
lucky you have the skill to do this

Do you really plan on using that to race? It would be a shame to wreck a body that nice looking. Great work guy!
I really should be working.
This was painted for another guy, hopefully it gets ran. That's what it was painted for.
That paint job makes my two color spray can job run home crying. It looks amazing, good job!

LOL just keep practicing, and pushing yourself, you will get there. I've been doing this for over 12 years now. Around 300 some bodies.
I was looking at this lid at the LHS yesterday!!!
My Black & Blue Rally is faster than your color...
Awesome job, I like the Carbon Fiber touch to it! Really brings out the body lines.

Man thats awesome
Hey nice job. Started doing some airbrushing myself, three bodies so far so I can respect what you have done here on this one!
I am a photographer and I see that you have a color White Balance issue that is showing magenta which steals from your greens you are trying to get across. I did a quick edit for you to hopefully extract some more color and detail of your work, I hope you appreciated and don't mind me doing this for your paint job
And yes a beauty she is! Nice one!
I am guessing your camera wasn't set to 'Auto' white balance, that is more likely the problem.
In iPhoto open the image, to the right top select 'Edit' use the Temperature and Tint controls Or if you have a good 'neutral' (gray) spot or an area of white use that little eye-dropper tool and click the spot and watch it change.
Using flash along with the ambient light can help greatly too!
I use Photoshop amongst other digital image processing programs.
I actually get better results when I use it set as Incandescent under Auto? I will have to play around with those with my pictures from here on out. Thanks!
If incandescent then you would use screw in bulbs not fluorescent. If set to 'Auto' the camera automatically should be doing its best to compensate for the yellow that screw ins give off or the greens that florescent give off. Flash is balanced for Daylight which will appear more white or at times slightly bluish.
The flash can add fill which can still help if you care to try it
That body is amazing.
Ya can't polish fertilizer...
That is a piece of art! Great job. My favorite is the detail around the windows. So nice!
