    Question Slayer Pro EZ What?

Ok, so I'm getting a slayer pro nitro buggy and I need info about ez start. This will be my first nitro so I have no clue.
    1. Does the car come with an ez starter?
    2. What battery should I use for it? Or does it come with one?
    3. What else does the car come with? Does it have a hump pack etc included?

    Thnx
    Jim

Are you getting it brand new? If so, then yes it comes with everything you need except for fuel and batteries for the transmitter and receiver.
Read up on it here: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXACGB**&P=7 and http://traxxas.com/products/models/n...07slayerpro4x4

Wow, don't know if I'd jump on tires at this point unless you are racing or have RC experience.... Personally I'd hold off the tires just yet from my understanding the stock tires are pretty good to start out with for now.. Your choice though...

I would invest in a hand held temperature gauge. The Duratrax Flashpoint is accurate enough to get the job done and not expensive, others can be as much as $200.00.. totally not needed..... The $25.00 Flashpoint should work well..
You need to ensure your running temps are over 200 degrees fahrenheit and under 270 degrees fahrenheit... This is extremely important... Too cool temps will cause the engine not to expand enough putting stress on the internals of the engine, too hot and the internals can become brittle and fail....

I think you will need a 7.2 volt 6 cell pack (3000mah would be good) for your EZ start stick... I'd actually get 2..... At first the engine is very tight, you will discharge a stick pack quickly.....
I don't see a fuel bottle, you will need one to transfer fuel from the larger container into your RC... And do not leave fuel in the RC or in the fuel bottle.... The fuel bottle you can pump back into the main container, but do not put old fuel from the fuel tank back, use it up....

    1. Read the book, especially about the part on the carburator and tuning for performance. Here's a copy of the owners manual, you can read it now while waiting for your new RC to arrive...

Here's a link to the main support page for your model http://traxxas.com/support/models/ni...07slayerpro4x4

    Owners manual http://traxxas.com/sites/default/fil...7_manual_0.pdf

And here's something you should read once you have gone over the manual and gotten through your break in procedure.

Oh, The air filter spray? It's an oil for offroad air filters... If you go to a motorcycle shop that has offroad motorcycles and ATV's you can buy a huge bottle (lifetime supply) of air filter oil for considerably cheaper and it will do the job fine...

After run Oil,,, you can use WD-40 instead of buying special after run oil.. In fact Traxxas recommends WD-40 for their engines... If you have some Marvel Mystery Oil. I use that on my engines and it works very well too.

OK so last question. Will a Dynamite 7 Cell Hump Pack work with this car? Also, what about the traxxas connector? I would think it is a traxxas, seeing as though it's a traxxas car.

The ez start comes with a battery, and yes, the Slayer pro comes with a ez start. If you really want to upgrade your tires, try getting Pro Line Epic beadlock rims for the Slayer, and you can put what ever tires you want on them! I got them for my Slayer, and I love them! Ya, I know, getting fancy tires are over kill, but I like the beadlock feture and I love how the rim looks. I got mine with Proline Switch tires. Here is some pics of my Slayer. Hope this helps!

I the wheels I used are ONLY for the Slayer. That's because the Slayer has larger wheel hexs then the Slash, and as slayerQc found out the hard way, the Slash rims don't fit on the Slayer. Here is the link to where I got mine... Hope you enjoy! http://www.rcplanet.com/Pro_Line_Sla.../pro270904.htm
