I am looking to upgrade my motor and i am having a hard time choosing..
Wich are the best option for bashing?
I usually run a 3cell Lipo, and i really just wanna eliminate any heat issue and have planty of power ofc
I am also going to buy some 1/8 wheels in the near future.
It boils down to you wanting to be able to have insane power up to 6s or 4s. Either way you will need to make some upgrades.
Thrash It, Bash it, Break it, No Regrets!!!
I would go with the 2200kv, no more temp gun, no heat issues, no motor fan needed, and plenty of power, like DK said you need to do some upgrades like:cvd's, shocks, al hex, revo slipper. I have tried a lot of motors, but there is nothing like this

I have a revo slipper upgrade kit laying ready
I have a platinum edition, do i still need alot of upgrades?
I have had Mip X-Duty cv shafts on one of my trucks for over twenty months! They are great! I have had only one broken axle which was promptly replaced by Mip . They have saved me lots of money on buying axles often. No matter what motor you upgrade to or even if you stay stock I recommend going with different cv axles. If you have the money, go with the 2200 or even the 2650. The 2400 is cheaper and is a good quality motor setup.

I have 2 2400 motors, one running 54/19 on Monster Truck set up, one running on 23/50 for speed passes and parking lot bashing. So far, they still hold up fine (they haven't quit on my yet), I never measure the temp though.
Curiously, I just ordered a new hpi tork 2200kv motor (i plan to take off or trim off the fins for more gearing options) for only $93 shipped since I want to be able to run 5s-6s sometimes and not have to worry about temp.
So if you are not an extreme basher, the 2400kv gives you plenty of power, and it's very well balance on the truck.
If you really want to put the limits and experiment things without having to worry about burning down your esc or motor, then go with the monster 2200kv system.

2200 all the way i have both and i like my 2200 way more than my 2400 truck
with my Maxx truck, the 2200 with 4s was more than I cared to drive. How does your pede drive with the same set-up? Is it managable?
redsawacs im not sure who you are refering to all the truck pictured are sl4shes but rc-fan has a pede with 2200 or 2650 in it
