    Finally pulled the trigger

After MONTHS of waiting I ordered my 4X4 pede today 67086. Can't wait also have KH mount and Pro Line shocks comming. Gonna wait till I twist an axle to upgrade. Have Tekno on my 2 slash 4X4 so gonna go that route as they all use the same parts. First order of business is a complete disassembly to dye the chassis black. Then have some fun.

Welcome to the pede Pro Mod, with the exception of going with the hot racing mount with over-sized bearing we're in nearly the same boat.
Haven't dyed that chassis yet, just did my first dye job last week.
    Enjoy friend.

IS IT REALLY? serious question here as I didn't know that. If it is guess I will need axles sooner than I thought.

My pede finally showed up today soo excited. WHAT is with the stock tires? they are like something on a 20 dollar toys r us toy. I love and support traxxas but I am very disapointed in the stock tires. For what this RTR cost I would expect a better tire. Its like a worn out balloon they put tread on. I have some Desporados and Trenchers on order now. Yes it is 4 pole but my GOOD 3S are too big so here I go again.

Unfortunately, everybody thinks it should come with a certain type of tire that's not necessarily the same as everybody else's choice. The truck comes with a serviceable tires that last a long time and you're free to change them. Would you really want to pay for a very expensive tread that you don't want?

WOW is all I have to say. way more fun than I expected. Put 4 packs through it last sunday for the first time since I completely tore it down to bare chassis out of the box to dye chassis and do necessary upgrades 2-2S 2-3S. gets hot quick with the 3S got a motor fan comming. tried to use stock slipper 1/4 turn out ok on 2 but fried with 3. new revo slipper wih al pads installed. Glad I went tekno f&R. bought a set of trenchers and Desporados unmounted so I could strap em and they are awesome. I LOVE THIS THING.

Yeah I have a Rally and then bought a PEDE after. All my time and MONEY go into the PEDE now. I love the PEDE, it's a clean healthy addiction no doubt. Hey Spennie, what gear ratio do you run most often ? I recently went down to 52 spur and love it but miss the top end -- oh well ..

I just bought a set of the chevron tires off Amazon, They are awesome !!! They don't turn into pizza cutters either. I didn't want to have to make my own set.

I had a set of Proline Trencher 2.8's pre assembled of course they balloon like crazy, these Traxxas Chevrons stay firm. I'm running 3s with new Traxxas 4-pole motor so I'm really impressed with chevrons especially since I didn't have to assemble them. I love working on my PEDE but hate glueing tires.

Hey speniepoos - are chevron tires a Proline name ? Because the Traxxas tires I got are MAXX 2.8's. I can't tell you enough how much better my P4DE performs with these MAXX's. I Bash on grass a lot, these tires are rudders and cut through the grass like crazy. It's awesome.

"Chevron" is more of a description than a proper noun (name).

like ksb said chevron is a style of tire usually referring to the V shaped tread like a monster truck tire. the proline mashers are also a chevron styled tire.

I have had about 5-6 good sessions on the MAXX's and to be honest I haven't noticed any wear or irregular wear as of yet.

Yea the traxxas style they are good compared to the talons ( I think that's the name of them comes on vxl). Vxl style are almost bald. Chevron still has good depth and they've been used more

Speniepoos ~ I have never bashed with Chevrons from Proline but my MAXX's feel a bit harder than my Proline Trenchers.
