i have a slight problem with my transmision i took it on a good days bashing and at the end of the day i noticed a slight grindy / clicky noise under load . so i tied it to a tree (not the best thing to do) and nailed the throtle and it seemed to judder with every full rotation of the wheels. so i am asking if anybody knows if the summit has week gear box gears or diffs. i have checked the spur gear and clutch so far but havent had time to strip anything else yet.
My first guess diff. Unhook the rear drive shaft and spin it by hand see if there is any binding clicking crunching? Is the clicking in high and low gear that would lead me to diffs. If it happens in only one gear
Could be a output gear in the trans
Check pinion bearings as well in the diff

Ok it was Tapatalk
Mountains cant stop me
they have tried
after stripping the diffs and trans out i found that the main output gear has 2 teeth missing
hence the problem. also the front diff bearings are very worn. so new bearings in there and we are back on the trail.
