I was having some issues with top speed in my slash mini and have come to the conclusion that it is either an RPM limiter, or NiMh voltage dropping severely under load. While discussing that, I was told that a 3s will hold more than 11.1 volts.
Is that true? If it is true is it safe?
If I had 2 3s in parallel that put out constant 12.5v it would solve my problem completely.

3.7v per cell
fully charged is 4.20v per cell
3.7 x 3 = 11.1v
4.2 x 3 = 12.6v
Batts in series double the voltage:
2x 2s 20c 5000mah = 4s 20c 5000mah
Batts in parallel double the mah capacity:
2x 2s 20c 5000mah = 2s 20c 10,000mah.
Would you go flip my truck back over??
