Everything has shipped. Now time for the waiting game. Looks like all/ most of it will be delivered by the end of the week. He's super excited. He doesnt really know all he's getting in though. LOL
I got most of the order in yesterday. The Summit Body/ Body Mounts, Summit Treads, & new Belcrank Steering. I'll take pics and post them up this evening.
The little kiddo was ecstatic about the new upgrades. He was grinning ear to ear, gave me the biggest hug, and said thank you daddy thank you daddy. Gotta love stuff like that. Wish I would have had the camera rolling. LOL
Lol. Summit disease. I know the problem. I bet the next thing is a wish for mini Trenchers
As always: great work.
Nobody is born with experience
Went back with a Traxxas 2080 Servo. It works nicely, hopefully last for a good while.
Package of shock towers and a few other goodies for the Summit conversion.
Decided to give the Tenbol Big Block motor mount a whirl. Good for the Castle 5700 power.
Luckily I remembered where the stock MERV plate was. LOL It was needed for the Tenbol.
Installed a new Rx box I had in the box. Now back to being waterproof. The Tenbol mount fits way better and more snug IMO.
Another shot....man this thing is much cleaner looking.
Front & Rear "The Toyz" Chassis Braces.
I'm not sure how these are actually supposed to mount, but bolting them above the shocks didnt work for me. I sat back and scratched my head and came up with mounting them below the shocks and took off the shock mount. They work way smoother and seem to stiffen the front and rear of the chassis up.
Rr Mount. I had to get even more creative for the rear mount as I had to take some of the material off the mount so their would be enough clearance for the motor to fit with a few mm to spare. Hopefully these still do their thing and act as a brace.
Fr/Rr Shock Towers installed.
Forgot I had the Summit Fr/Rr Bumpers with light buckets. Pretty awesome as it cleaned this puppy up. I'm so glad to yank those stink'n T-Bone bumpers. As much as they protect (which I like), I hated how they didnt allow the suspension to travel like it is supposed to.
Fr Summit Bumper with light buckets.
Rr Summit Bumper.
Hot Racing 3-wheel Wheelie Bar. Very nice piece, not sure how long it will last. LOL
Very clean piece.
New stock servo saver and skid bolted up.
The new Royal Blue Summit body. Totally clean looking.
My little guy excited for this build. He wanted to be in the picture.
Another one with the body off.
Tires bolted on and ready to go.....
Servo centered, bats plugged in, and ready to roll......
He had a blast driving it this past weekend, super excited to put some miles on the lid.
As always thanks for checking it out.
Looks great Digger!
How are you liking the HR wheelie bar?
So far its done a great job. Hopefully we can run a bunch of packs through the truck this coming holdiay weekend.
Oh and I need to find a light kit for this.
TRA7285- should be coming out soon....HOPEFULLY.
Your tires are on backwards
Very nice mate. The braces are mounted correctly. You do away with the platic piece and mount the shocks on top of the brace as you have.
Post a vid or two for us
I will definitely try and do that. The Texas Skeeters are out (mosquito). LOL
