Got the Axial Rebel but noticed the hex on the rim is deeper than the hex on the merv. I have the hex that fits the rim but then only show a few threads on the axle. How do I get these rims on? Saw it mounted on JimmieN's and looks great.

@dd88 - How do you go about ordering from Gone Bananas? I've emailed twice and haven't got an answer.

I want into the custom foam party!

Can Super Glue go bad? I used some on my 2.2/3 rims/tires and the outside (2.2") sticks fine, but the 3" side (inside) keeps coming apart. Was up?

I just cranked them down... nothing special.
But before I run it hard, I am going to get and install some barrel nuts... just to make sure it is a solid connection.

    Hey guys,
I just talked to the Jaco people and the only foams they make with 12mm hex hubs are:

    JAC2020 - Outside Diameter: 107.5mm (4.23") Mounting Hole: 12mm Width: 50mm (1.97")

    JAC2030 - Outside Diameter: 4.16 (104mm) Mounting Hole: 12mm hex Width: 1.95 (49.1mm)

    JAC2040 - Outside Diameter: 98.3mm (3.87)Hex: 12mm Width: 49.53mm (1.95")

    JAC2050 - Outside Diameter: 4.16 (104mm) Mounting Hole: 12mm hex Width: 1.95 (49.1mm)

Integy suck. Don't even think about it. They build poor quality shelf queen parts not equipped for use.

did you have any issues with the standard nuts backing off when you had your rebels on the MERV?

Nope... and I ended up filling the gap with rocker bushings when I swapped them over to bearings instead of buying the barrel nuts.

You can still buy the 17mm version as you need to shorten them anyway for the MERV.

See this thread for some more info on barrel nuts.

I didn't think the longer ones had enough threads.

I have the shorter ones and they didn't had enough threads either.
You'll need to re-tap/cut the thread deeper on all Junfac barrel nuts to get them on the MERV stub axles.

I'm new to the tire thing, but are both the front and rear tires buggy rear dirt hawgs? Shouldn't there be front tires?

Yes, both front and rear tires are buggy rear Dirt Hawgs. Buggy fronts are narrower... and when buying pre-mount (these are not) you would still want all rear tires/rims due to this being a 4WD RC.

Yay! Please post a front shot, if possible. I would love to see the track width of this combo.

The Alias' look nice, thread seems perfect for dirt. I wonder why they are rarely seen here.

These tires are pretty awesome. They tear it up on the grass and dirt. On pavement they a really grippy also but I'm trying not to do too much pavement running because I can already tell after about 30 minutes that they have worn down quite a bit. I have yet to take it to my local track and see how they do, but then again it's a MERV so it's not really a track beast to begin with. I'll take a front shot for you in a bit, currently trying to get tire glue off my fingers lol

Ah, the dreaded CA glue on body parts.. Nail polish remover, acetone or a thin, sharp blade to the rescue.

Take your time, its 2 in the morning over here, time to catch some sleep.
