Yes this is actually normal for an XO-1. Irritated me when i first got mines too.

The problem I'm faced with is the camera footage is truly awful using an action camera!! It's totally unstable and I want to keep the shell on to protect the inside if the car.

    This footage looks great!!

less rattle with 3 go-pros weighing the body down haha.
I took some thin foam strips and put it in the channel the body sits into on the side skirt.
    Helped a ton.

Get some rubberized undercoating and that will reduce it to barely noticeable plus add strength... Make sure you get a high quality underbody coating... 3M professional works extremely well...

Cameron do u have pics of your setup with sponge strips?

XO-1 MD can you show me any photos of yours?

Just an update but I have used some strong adhesive tape on the areas of flexibility.
    See below.

Or you could just stick on some body post foams to cut the rattling and cushion the body. I use them on everything with a looser fitting body. The Slash is notorious for body rattle as well. I can post a pic of them on the body if you need it. Sometimes I turn them over and stick them on the body posts, depending on the situation.

Racers Edge P#: RCE099 I tend to buy them by the bag of 50, due to my addictional needs and always adding vehicles or changing bodies. The P# for the 50 pack is RCE099B.

If your car rattle or wobble without the body you could balance the wheel to get it run smooth, but maby it only is the body in your case
