Now say i decide to put a mamba max pro 2400 in my 2wd...

i have one of these combos and might want to try it out in my 2wd slash, and run 4s and 3s. does anyone have this combo in their slash? what major mods need to be required?

Excellent choice, nice and reasonable KV....

No real mods needed, just slap it in, program the ESC... I like a bit of drag brake, low timing, LVC at 3.4, and crank the BEC up, especially if you've got an aftermarket servo rated for more volts.

Only one way to find out. I can tell you this a MMP and 10.5 revtec rips on 3 cell but you have to be careful and check the motor temp often so its a pain in that aspect.

i think that the motor is too big for the 2wd. the 4wd version work well
All I need now is to set a new lap record.

First major mod is a good wheelie bar, you'll need it!

How about 32p gearing to beef up your running gear?

I keep thinking I'll try 4s one of these days...

I'm pretty sure the 14 series motors are 36mm cans, and they fit without mod.

You can go as long as you'd like on the Slash, but you're limited on diameter.
