I'm currently converting my Revo 3.3 to brushless and i am totally new to the electric world so i would appreciate a little bit of advice from you bright sparks if you don't mind please...
Basically, i'm going for the Mamba Monster 2200kv motor and ESC combo and i was wondering which lipo's would be best for longest drive time, longest battery lifespan and general value for money?
The Castle Creations website recommend a 4s lipo for the MMM, if that is right, what mAh lipo should i go for?
Thanks in advance guys!!!!
Are you converting to a e-revo chassis? I would go for a max amps. They also make a Xl series line. Their biggest lipo is a 13500 miliamp 2s lipo. Two of these may work good. do you have a place for two batteries are are you going to just Velcro them down.
No i'm keeping the 3.3 chassis. Wow, i didn't realise they do 2s lipo's with that much mAh! I've got one battery tray as i'm using the tekno conversion kit so that set up may not be viable. Do you know any decent 4s lipo's with a similar mAh? Am i right in saying the higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last in run time?
Correct higher the mAh the longer the run time. Yes you need a single 4,5,6 s battery. Pass on the Max Amp batteries, not to start a battery war, but they are a bit to many $$$ for what you get. Same or better bateries for less are out there..
edit that one online dealer has a 4s 6000 mAh 25c will work just fine... about 35~45 min..

Would you go flip my truck back over??
I use a gens ace 5300mah 30C 2s ( two of them for 4s total ) and i recently converted my e-revo also, I have ran it for 30 minutesish each run and never run out of power! i get home and it is around 3.7V per cell, and the entire charge goes to 4.2V per cell and i have the cut off at 3.5V which i have yet to hit because I end up losing body clips or some stupid reason like it starts raining... ( *** )
just i just made a video of me using these packs! check out the videos at the top of this forum catagory!
the batteries costed me in total $66 for both
Wow, that's great rcdude, thanks v much!
That quote was thanks to 87 GN
I also converted my 3.3 to an e-revo, it is a great decision! I love mine
all good info..^ you can build a light bulb discharger, or get a charger with a discharge feature. Why, well if you charge up, it rains or you can't run for a few days you need to get the batt(s) back to storage volts 3.85 ish...
another choice for a charger copy paste
Dynamite Passport Ultra AC/DC Charge/Cycler DYN4064
not the biggest charge but easy to use. I had two then moved up. Buy more charger then you think you will need. Saves money in the long run.
