i was running my slash today and all of a sudden there was a loud buzzing noise coming from the rear diff area so i took it apart and everything look fine. i took the diff out and there is a bit of a clicking feeling, is it suppose to be butter smooth? I recently rebuilt the diff to change a seal about 2 batteries before.
Take a good look at the center bearing in the rear where the center shaft connect too , I had this issue twice
nothing is broke just clean it and put it back together, check bearings. whens mines click i clean it and its ok plus i have a mamba monster on 6s and no problems
k thanks, all bearing were good
does this sound fine ^
that sounds like your pinion mesh
what about the bearing the slipper assembly rides on?
fix, run, break, repeat
all the bearings in the rear end i have checked and there fine and i dont think its the pinion mesh
Is your driveshaft bent?

this happened to my front end it may relate. i had a bearing with a bad seal and it looked fine but it had lost a couple balls got out and found their way into a gear between the teeth didnt notice that the first time around either, found it on the second rebuild
