Opened mine up and watched as bit of chassis and bulkhead and steering arm rained onto by work space.

put new packs in hoping to bash a tad at work and found out that my esc is dead ... more than likely anyway. No servo response, no throttle and the underside near where the motor wires leave the esc is getting super hot just sitting there plugged in. Also a very, very faint solid red light. Color me stumped.

    Stock servo?
I am not saying it is not the ESC, but I have seen these symptoms and it ended up being the stock servo... even though it was "working".
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

I thought being deployed that I wouldn't think about the merv or parts, but I just orders a ton of parts for this thing. I can't wait to get back to put them in now!

I set up my servo with the correct horn. Loosened the carriers just a smidgen so there was no binding and everything was smooth. The screw hole on the horn was too small but I have a brand new exacto so I used that to open the hole enough to start the screw. Took it for a spin & finally have the steering on this thing completely dialed in.

Unfortunately, I packed her up into several boxes to move house, but I was half way through a drivetrain re-build ( CVD's, bearings, and anything else I could see needing a going over. Now I'm stuck w/ no r/c over x-mas! (since september! I don't get enough free time.) It's been too long...

I had to make the tenbol motor mount work with my integy cf chassis. File chassis, shave the tenbol mount and shorten the spur gear shaft. They definitely weren't made for that chassis but the final outcome looks nice! Now the fun part.....test drive

Today I changed the gearing and it ran 36mph on 2s and all electronics never saw 100°. I have one more pinion that is a few teeth more. I will throw that on and see what happens. I love the integy chassis. So much room. I mounted the rx on the lower chassis.

Lookin' good, you should really be running 2 batteries in parallel with that setup to get the most out of it and not risk damaging your batteries from being "over-drawn".

I know I should but they are 2200 40c so 88amps shouldn't be too much. Maybe I should keep the gearing how it is instead of gearing it higher and drawing more amps.

Just figured it out, my battery should be fine. I read that some people with my setup use 1400 25c in parralell and that can deliver 70a. My 2200 40c can deliver 88a. I'm putting my bigger pinion on!

That is a pretty poor way to assume your battery is up to the task.

I just got my Raptor body today. I cut it out and drilled the body post holes.

I have read that the body gets in the way when turning. What can I do to fix this? Can I get a thicker wheel hex?

Took it to the park with my Son and his summit1/16. Snapped my fourth chassis and sheard a trx front cvd at the knuckle. Ran it in two wheel until all the packs were dead. I ran some 4s n 6s( which did the carnage) n my Son ran two sets of nimh, not hurting anything. Personally I'm surprised that's all I broke.

I really hope you put nuts/washers on the screws inside the tire or those screws will be rocketing out of the tire real fast. Very dangerous unless there is something holding them in.
