Skip the bearings for right now! You made a good choice with T-Bone!

I would wait until you NEED upgrades before you break the bank. This forum will tell you each upgrade with part## and links (where possible) that will get you on the way.

A big part of this hobby is learning from busted parts. Don't be in a hurry to replace everything 'cuz someone said it might be a good idea.

some parts are best to buy when you are pretty much maxxed out.
Like building a fast street car, when its stock it might need a better flowing air delivery system like a cold air setup but skip the 80mm throttle body until your making 500 horses!

higher fuel pressure is also a must when getting more air in when you begin with tuning

    LOL

upgrades on a traxxas RC is almost the same
first star with good power volts and amps and from there go with esc and motor and gears

tuning is a way of livin
    Xtreme has no limiits

And just like a real car one u add more up u have to make upgrades to many other parts that don't even affect the hp, in order the extra hp, or you'll be replacing broken part's very often.

I haven't been able to work on my merv in a couple days, I almost took off my ringer finger Wednesday night with a machete, had to get 3 stiches and tetanus shot, not fun. I did get my new bullet connectors and everything else to finish my rebuild but just can't do it with one hand that I can only use my thumb and index finger with lol

I recently got an Axial Wraith and noticed the wheel hex is of a different design than is typical for RC's. it has a bit of a tapered shape to it. Like wise the wheel has the same shape.

I'm not sure if all Axial wheels are like that, but just some forewarning. Thinking of it some, maybe they include wheel adapters if you are buying just axial wheels.

Kinda posting spam here, but figure it's worth adding to this thread.

Got some tires for the Merv. They're Proline Dirt Paws (PRO104300) on RPM revolver Wide Wheelbase wheels (RPM82233).

I really like the wider track, check out the offset in the first picture (not sure why Proline calls them "Wide Wheelbase").

Really happy with the tires & wheels. Wheels needed a bit of hacking. The axle isn't long enough to get the whole nut on, so I Dremal'd it. Other than that a great wheel-tire combo for loose sand.

My guess is *****s, you can see a litte blue and it looks like the ***** blue.

Has you can see brand names of several batteries that come from the website based in Hong Kong that is banned on this forum have been added to the word filter. Please do not mention these batteries in the future. Anytime you type something the word filter blocks as in this post you should edit the post to remove the offending word or phrase.
