Ok, If the stock gearing is 11/54 and according to the paper included with the truck it says good acceleration and good speed.
The optional included gear is a 17/54. Does that mean less accelerationbut alot faster top speed?
And the optional not included gearing is 9/54. Is this faster acceleration than the stock gear but alot less top speed?
What if I want more acceleration that stock and higher top speed than stock without having to worry about motor temps? Should I change my gearing and stick with a 2 cell or keep stock gearing and get a 3 cell? or change gearing and get a 3 cell?

Run a 13/54 and you'll do just fine on 2s
3s likes to break all kinds of things.

If you want to increase both acceleration and top speed, you can do that with higher voltage. That way you will increase the risk of temp issues. Changing gearing will either increase acceleration and lower top speed, or decrease acceleration and increase top speed.

If you ever have any spare change id suggest the Castle MMP 2400kv combo. LOL a lot less headache. I'll see if I can check my gearing in mine tomorrow evening. I really don't remember what it is, but all I run is 3s. Anything less and it hiccups.
