You may want to get a few back-up ring and pinion sets #7079. I'm runnin my truck with two venom 2000mah 20c 2s packs in parallel and have already stripped two of them this month. Price isn't bad...about $12 a set.

most on the forum prefer gpm knuckles

there have been issues with the rpm ones

also get a ******* 390 - this is a must because your stock servo will break any day

No the seals in the traxxas servo wont fit on the hitec servo i think the hitec is smaller just rub some shoe goo on the cracks an screws an slap a big gob of grease on the gear an it will make it water ressistant not water proof

ok sounds good will do, its not like i have waterproof in my tmaxx's and they get soaked bad all the time with no issues, so water resistant will do just fine

i think ill do that to all my servos on my maxx's as well

All it does is shut down untill it cools off an then u can run again but i use the smaller pinion that came with it its a 23 tooth an it seems to run good with that one u want it to be about 170 degrees thats where its at its prime on temp i believe or so ive read u should be all good. Do u have a hobby shop nearby? They usually just make u pay 20% down when they order stuff for u untill u go pick it up thats what i do is just give them a big list of stuff i need pay 20% an go pick it up when i got the cash never had a problem doing that but on some stuff it might take a while to get in. Anyways man than are a blast have fun with it when u get it in an remember if u aint breaking stuff u aint driving it right!!!! Lol

Heat sink if you planning on running 3s and A front RPM bumper, since I've had one I haven't broken any A-arms at all.

if your bashing hard, i highly suggest getting a 4 piece t bone skid set.
its made of 3mm delrin plastic, tough but flexible enough, this will dramatically reduce your breakages, especially when it comes to the chassis snapping.

just put this into google and you should find it on tbone's website
    "Traxxas 1/16 E-Revo - 4pc Chassis Brace/ T-Bar Combo- BM-5CG00"

also, if your going to run tall tires or with big lugs (eg sand paws, dirt paws etc), you can always trim the front t bone bumper.
here's mine that took 2 minutes with a dremel

my lhs doesnt require anyhitng down, reason i dont use them much though is shipping is cheap if not free on tower when i order parts, and lhs charges tax, they usually work out to be more expensive and it takes longer to get my parts....

ok ill play aroudn with the pinion and see what i think, and just like my nitros ill make sure and check temps every now and again, esp when i first get it....

Can someone make an updated list of what hops ups are good ones to have? Not neccessarily must haves but parts that most of you have had broken that were stock parts and now have replaced with something better.

Just to give you a few pointers this is what I have... keep in mind I very rarely walk away broke.

Steel hollow balls to reduce slop
Aluminum knuckles to reduce slop and add strength (I have HR but recommend GPM)
******* 390 servo because the stock is known to fry/strip itself
RPM a arms at all four corners because RPM arms hardly ever break
Center differential upgrade to help handle the power of
    2200mah 2S 20C ***** LiPo's ran in parallel for ~1 hour run times
23/50 gearing gets me to ~30mph yet keeps temps in check
Shimmed front and rear bulkheads... *LINK*

Especially do that last part... extremely cheap preventative procedure.

You could start with shims and a servo, then upgrade as you break.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.
