Man, I own and produce a national TV show... and THAT was a great video. Thats by far the most professionally shot and edited piece I've seen on this forum ever. Period.

Nice use of 60fps footage, most of it was just excellent lighting and composition... edited to the song really well. There were a couple shots in there that were just sweet... that one that looks like a tail whip... but landed straight. That was cool.

Overall... if we could rate videos... id give you however many stars I could. Ill be watching that again.

The song is by Ramstein. I forget the title because it's in German, but the song I used is the instrumental version.

Yeah, it was starting to rain in some of the shots. But the body keeps the truck dry.

Yeah, I have since gotten a new body. That white one is now my basher body. The tires are Proline Moab XL's mounted on Axial narrow Rockster beadlock wheels.

    Brushless Summit promo maybe?

Different wheels and tires, stainless steel screw kit, robinson racing ring and pinion diff gears in the rear, a-arm/driveshaft guards in the rear (homemade), rpm bumper mounts (front and rear), stiffer springs and thicker shock oil. That's about it. Besides the Tekin, it's not too far from stock.

Nice vid man, and great driving.. I noticed at 1'57" there were zip ties along the back a-arm.. was that for the "a-arm/driveshaft guards in the rear (homemade)"; I'm curious?

Yep. Good catch on the zip ties. Those are my homemade driveshaft guards. I cut the shape out of a sheet of galvanized steel, drilled holes for the zip ties, and bent it to the right shape. I haven't really ever tested whether they work all that well or not because the driveshaft boots were already torn and gone when I put the guards on. The intended purpose of the guards is the protect the driveshaft and pivot ball dust boots from dirt and debris. I have had the guards on the truck for several months now and they seem to work great. The only thing I don't like is that I painted them flat black and now the paint is coming off.

My design is not perfected yet. I am still going to make another set to maximize the area that the guards cover. As you can see, the lower pivot ball dust boot is still exposed. I am going to try to get it covered.

Very nice, I like it. Is there any type of travel issues in between the two arms with that guard there, does it get in the way at all?

Nope. Suspension still works fine and everything operates smoothly. It doesn't get in the way at all.

Ok, that was an awesome, OSUM video.

How did you make it? Hero cam? What software?

I like to think I put up the best photos on here, but that video rules this roost...

Thanks! Everything is filmed with a Casio EX-FC100 digital camera in 210 fps (slow motion) and HD real time. All the editing was done with Sony Vegas.

You should seriously go around to hobby shops and offer to sell them this video to play on a monitor in their shops.

But then i wouldn't be able to play it on Youtube. nevermind.

Uh, if I had a hobby shop, I would have a giant TV in it, and I would play videos like this all day. You can't tell me that if you walked into a hobby shop thinking "hmm, I want to get into RC cars, but I'm not sure which direction to go" and you saw a video like THAT, you wouldn't seriously consider the Summit?

    I would.
