one 2075 steering servo dead
Just got my Summit and drove it twice (no bashing as Traxxas wrote in the manual, breaking in the motor). But then it seem like the steering got really slow and wheels could not turn when it stood still...
Turned out to be one of the 2075 servos had died - has anyone else had the same experience? Should I worry and get another type of steering servo?
Its fairly common they have plastic gears that break easy. You could replace the gears for $3. Here's a thread about steering servos, it was down this page a little.
Thanks I'll see if Traxxas will replace the servo, and if it happens again, then I’ll probably have to upgrade the steering servo… Just strange if they won't last for more than one hour of driving, and didn't even go hard on the car...
If its a brand new truck traxxas support can probably help you.
Traxxas support sent me replacement servos - really nice - now I'm out driving again
The Traxxas costomers service is awesome!

I'm wondering though if it might be better to buy one with metal gears with more torque than the other two put together...
However, I have been running these trucks for miles and miles, and it finally broke while rock crawling on some really tough rocks by the beach.
