Go to Radio Shack or Wal-Mart for a no-maintenance vehicle. Nitros require more maintenance than electric but even electric needs maintenance.
MSRP is the manufacturers suggested retail price.

Stampede XL-5... still needs maintenance but is SO simple and easy to work on. If you want LESS maintenance go VXL but the price is much higher.

slash, handles best out of them all nad is as easy to work on as any of the other cars in its class.

make sure you go vxl as well, brushed is just not worth it.

I'm going to assume you came here because you have been looking at the "higher tier" of rc's. I would suggest getting either the 1/16th or 1/10th scale slash. The smaller one is obviously cheeper, and can be run even in the smallest of basements! But the 1/10th would be a little easier to work one.

Lots of people would suggest the stampede as well, everyone has good things to say about it!
