    Benefits of different Hub materials

Hello, I'm back after losing my Tmaxx. I'm getting another soon that is completely built except for the Hubs. Now, I have been looking into different materials they have available. OEM Plastic, Steel and Aluminum what are the benefits to each. Obviously, the Plastic is the weakest and least desirable. What are the benefits of Aluminum vs. Steel?

Either (alum/steel)works well in the 14mm hex, you can only get aluminum in the 17mm hex.
    Look out for the tree/crunch!

So, Is there any benefit that would make one better than the other?

I've had aluminum hex's get chewed up when the bearing went bad and in turn chewed up the next bearing. With the steel ones the hex barely gets scratched when a bearing falls apart.
