Can I run these in a stock Summit:
(2) Thunder Power 4400mah, 3S 11.1v, 45C
No, you can only use (2) 2s lipos 3s is to much
2s on BEC, 3s on non-BEC should work ok.
If you are doing the 3s and 2s be careful(watch temps closely) guys just do that for speed runs.it's going to push the evx2 to it's limits and you risk a meltdown. The titan 775 won't last for long running that voltage through it either.
Mountains cant stop me
they have tried
I don't have LiPos yet, but I re-purposed NiCd cells from an 18v Dewalt XRP pack for my Summit. Since I found the Dewalt thread on the over voltage of the EVX2 and 2S+3S config, and Dewalt pack has 15 cells, I built a 7 and 8 cell NiCd pack, which is actually slightly higher voltage than 2S+3S.
2S+3S (5S config) = 21 Volts at full charge
7Cell+8Cell NiCD = 21.75 Volts at full charge
According to the thread (Post #25) the EVX2 can handle up to 22.3 volts.
Haven't had any problems yet as it's been between 45-60 degrees out, but if it does melt down, I'll have justification to buy a MMM or Tekin... or stay with brushed and get the Dewalt motor.
