    Great news on FLM bulks

I asked FLM (again) on the bulk subject, and got great news They are in testing them now, before production! No info what so ever about the product etc etc, but if everything goes well, they hoped for production in about 2 weeks..

    I cant wait!

That's actually a very good question to throw at them before they start production since the LST diff mod has become quite a popular upgrade. I would guess the majority of ERBE owners that would fork out the $$$ for a bulk upgrade have most likely already done so to their drivetrain.

Ooooo I bet there would be some very disappointed people out there if these bulks finally hit the market and they had to choose between better bulks or diffs...

    So now the Q&A -
    1) Would you pick the alum bulks or the LST2 diffs??
    2) Or trim a brand new alum bulk to fit the LST2??
Would you go flip my truck back over??

I will be shocked if they are`nt made for 1/8 scale.
As they said in a earlier email, and i quote: "They would definitely be designed around an 1/8 scale diff"

But i highly doubt they will be cheap

If the bulkheads will be in the 200 smackaroos range and only fit the stock diffs you won't see them on my truck any time soon.

I'm about to embark on the lst diff mod route soonish and would love to have pre modified bulkheads or diff cases but my guess is it won't be happening any time soon.

It's a shame really because I've got more cash to spend than I've got time.

If flm is as awesome as they usually are.... They will design these around some type of 1/8th scale diff that they produce themselves.

I might be able to find some time to make a set of pre modified bulks and LST diff cases but the perfect customer I'm looking for is not one with ''lots of cash and no time'', but more one with ''lots of cash and no brains''

But seriously, I don't have the time to do it, I can't even find the time to do it on my son's ERBE

I myself have had a lot more diff failures than bulks and since there are already some pretty good mods/options (roll cage) to help keep the bulks together I would definitely rather put my $$ into the diffs.

Its kinda hard to get those crazy jumps on that will break the bulks if you can't even use the power the truck has without babying the throttle for fear of another blown diff. I know its not that simple but for me its definitely a priority issue.

I don't generally make the crazy 50ft jumps and haven't had a broken bulk since the rear chassis brace mod so 200$ for alu bulks seems a little pointless.

For some though I know these tougher bulks are a godsend so for you I hope the buff diffs do fit....

Ok, let me rephrase that It might've come off as I've got piles of money waiting to be spent. That's not case, especially with two kids and a wife on maternity leave. I do have a decent salary but I'm short of spare time so buying a pre fabricated solution would be the best for me even it will cost me dearly. I'm however not willing to spend 200ish dollars on something I have to modify myself. I know, the jokes on me for buying an e-revo.
    :-)

If you do feel you've got time to spare and feel like giving a fair offer on a pre fab diff/bulk solution send me a pm. You have my highest respect for sharing your solutions with the public. And doin it for free!

I dont care how much it will cost as long as it holds 8th scale diffs im in.I am already spend over $400 on some rcm hybrid diffs so if the bulks do fit xxl diffs or better than $200 a bulk isnt bad since the losi diffs cost around $30 anyways.Just my 2 cents though.

im a little worried about bending aluminum bulkheads because once aluminum is bent its never as strong as before...i would actually prefer some RPM type bulkheads. i think that a little flex is a good thing and would prevent breakage on the bulk heads.
