I plan on making these chains for my summit and I was wondering how much traction you get on the snow. I would like to plow my driveway and side walks when there is small amounts of snow and obiviosly I need good traction for that.

Hi, you all shared really nice information here for making tire chain, Actually this is the most important thing which we all should know and i also would like to share an experts experience who said that "the faster you drive with the chains equipped, the quicker they'll wear out. This is especially true on dry pavement, which can destroy traditional metal-links". May all these things prove useful for you people.
