    Brushed version?

I have been following this rally VXL prett heavily, and I remember seeing a picture of the brushed version with the cover off, and it had a titan 12T in it. I have been trying to find it, sifting through my history and my bookmarks, but I cant find it!

does anyone know if this is the production plan, or if they will be sticking the smaller brushed system from the mini slash in there?

A titan 12T would be cool, because that would mean it could accept 1/10 brushless systems

    hooray for overkill!
I am lucky I don't have any money.

do you mean accept a 1/10 brushless system out of the box?

you'd still need an aftermarket big block mount, regardless of whether you get the brushed or brushless version - a brushed system would just mean you don't need to spend as much

well no, because I already have a 1/10 brushless system, and I would just swap it between each car depending on which one I wanna buy, then I would also have another titan for my slash when I feel like getting it wet.

and YES! it was that picture. I wonder how that teeny ESC would fare with a 550...
So, it would appear that it would simply be a bolt on for 1/10 systems.

for those of us who feel like saving $100

and hey, that motor would probably be enough to keep me happy! So I wouldnt even need to bother switching my BL setup...

I'll be honest, I'd almost consider the 550 equipped car....then could swap a normal sized VXL in it when I wanted. Might even try the XL2.5 in my SCX10 at that point too!

Ive pretty much settled on the decision that if they release one with the 550, I will buy that instead of the VXL, because I really do not need TONS of power, and the 12T has alot of power to begin with! I mean, hey, it pushes 1/10 off roaders like nobody's business!
if it comes with the XL2.5, Id slap my old XL5 in there just to be safe...
its not like I am doing anything else with it.

I would think the Rally would be even better with a nice 12-19 turn quality brushed 540 motor. 540 size motors ruled the world before BL boomed, and certainly would zip this mini along.

    Titan® 12T Modified Motor

The Titan 12T 550 modified motor is designed for incredible mod-motor power output
with virtually maintenance-free operation, and long-lasting performance.
The Titan 12T 550 motor’s integrated cooling fan pulls cool air through the motor
    to keep temperatures down.
A cooler running motor allows faster speeds, longer runtime, and extended motor life.

I doubt it. The esc probably wont have a LVC so lipos are going to be a pain in the butt.

O.K., so what ESC is in the brushed version? The VXL3M but with the brushless features turned off or something? They couldent possibly sell it with a full jam VXL3M ESC thats completely capable of running a brushless motor for $100 less than the VXL version could they? I think you can find VXL 3M motors for like $40...

I am curious what the ESC is though.

It's the xl-2.5. The same brushed esc that's included with the brushed e-revo and slash.

an LVC has nothing to do with the performance of a brushed motor

Ok, so because I don't know....why the brushed titan motor in the rally? price? more options for the 550 sized motors? ideas/thoughts/comments?...I can see many people putting the 1/10 velineon or comparable in this thing..It's gonna haul a##

edit...just saw the other "brushed version" thread to answer some ?'s I had.

once this motor mount and plate become available as a spare part, it'll be the FIRST thing i'll buy.

by all means, as a spare part it'll be cheaper than the tenbol one, and available in the uk

So, they going to release with a 550 motor 2.4ghz? If yes, we might be able to drop in a regular brushless motor without any mod?
