I just had to open my Summit's receiver box.
I needed to replace a steering servo.
What a mess inside. Has anyone any ideas on how to
get the servo connector into the box. There is a
plastic wall that supports the motherboard that makes
installing the servo connecter a nightmare. There's just too
much going on inside with all of the Summit's servo
requirements. I am considering removing some of the
diff lock components just to make it easier to get the new
Do you have a 2.4GHz radio system or is it the old 27MHz? Is there a small black unit on top that says T-Lok?
just take the wires out of the connector and run them through the rx box. had to replace a t-lock servo and ran into same problem.
Either way, it works best if you remove the two screws holding the box to the chassis. Then you will see a narrow plastic cover where the wires enter. Remove the two screws holding the narrow cover and you can thread the new servo connector into the box. If needed you can also pry up the receiver out of the box for a little extra working room. The only thing holding the receiver in the box is double sided tape.
I initially thought so too ... until I read the manual.Originally Posted by oldboynewtoy
The receiver is taped to the bottom of the box. Carefully pull the receiver loose from the box and things get much easier.
