I´ve read in some threats that a lot of drivers change their Traxxas radio
to another like Futaba 2PM or Spectrum or whatelse...
What´s the reason therefore, and what´s the advantage of the other radios?
Thanks for your infos
The AM rtr radios for sure get changed out alot.
Run it like you borrowed it!
Traxxas 2,4 Ghz VS XXX 2,4Ghz - that´s the heasdline
The older model 2.4GHz from Traxxas did not have EPA and other features/adjustments. It just had steering and throttle trim. The newer model does have the additional features though.
I am using the Traxxas 2.4GHz for some of my smaller RCs and my Summit (4 channels) however I would definitely go Spektrum or Futaba for the rest, the Traxxas setup is a real headache for changing settings and things since the competition all have an LCDs and visible menuing.
You can store multiple RC's in the memory with Spektrum or Futaba, end point adjustments, you can even change the response speed of the servos, some have an abs type feature where you can hit a channel and it changes how the brakes react according to how you set them, lastly some even have telemetry to tell you things like receiver battery level, speed, and engine temperature.
Basically the Traxxas 2.4ghz is a great start in the digital controller world, but when you get past that point and you want more then the aftermarket radios just have more features and probably faster response.
All Lives Matter
Thanks for the infos, now I can see the difference..
