From new I have been a bitt dissappointed with my Summit.
I didn't seem quite as fast and strong as the ones I see on youtube.
Yesterday I got some noise from the Summit, and traced it down to be the slipper clutch. I adjusted my slipper clutch and could almost turn it clockwise 3 full turns. Now it has 1/4-1/2 turns out counter clockwise and it's brutal! Very fast, even stronger and it is SOOOO much more fun to drive!
I do think that my slipper clutch was wrong adjusted from the start, and that's why it seemed weak and slow.
Will order me some spares, this must kill the slipper clutch much faster
if I am thinking correctly... a properly adjusted SC will last LONGER. no slippage means no wear...
So it will probably last longer...

I followed the summit manual, tighten the spring, but not overtighten it.
Then back it out 1/4-1/2. I put it in between those two. Have gone through 4 sets of batteries after that, and it seems to hold up nice

i just got a new e revo diff off ebay for 6.57...i had to tell someone sorry ..what a steal and an extra set of driveshafts ..i hope both of these things collect dust forever he he..yes theres no reason to buy super expensive cv's when you can just back the slipper off a tad. i went from my rear driveshafts lasting me 6 minutes to about a month..still no signs of ware. and it would still rather burn out than wheel out off the line on concrete
