Looks like 44.95 euro or around $56, kind of steep no? Plus shipping and taxes/duties.

This wheel slop is nasty and read thru this mod. Does not sound bad, nice mod. My question is how is it holding up and is there any other mods out there that do a better job of getting rid of slop? Was also thinking about going with the wheel hubs hpp germany makes but this mod would be so much cheaper but the hpp hubs do look nice.

Old thread, but don't see the alternative I'm now using on two of my revos.

Originally, I tried milling steel nuts down to use as inserts. That worked ok, but regardless how much locktite I put on them or how tight I got them, they would work loose and fall off.

Then I found the original e-savage 17mm hex's. They were the same ID as revo axles at the pin. I would use those with HPI's flanged nuts. Then I snapped an axle and lust my hub. I was no longer able to find the HPI e-savage hex, so I created an alternative out of the traxxas 17mm hubs.

I cut the hub off flush with the hex, then use the HPI nut on the axle like normal. Works perfectly and no wobble ever.

For less than $10 parts it's the easiest way to eliminate wobbling. I used a angle grinder with a 4 inch cutting disc on it. Then smoothed out the cut with a 2 inch 3M Roloc Scotch-Brite disc.

I used a hack saw with a metal cutting blade, then a dremel to clean up the center a bit. Well, on the first set. On the 2nd set, I used my mini saws-all. Time taken, like 45 seconds per wheel. lol

    NASCAR HERE I COME!

I read in another thread posted above that this mod had issue with RPM wheels. Not sure what wheels he used as I've used RPM revolver 3.2" wheels with out issue as well as traxxas non-offset 3.8" wheels, traxxas 3.8" geode wheels and SRC wheels.
