Looking for some help, I want to pull my diffs and trannies and clean, inspect, lube and reassemble them. The parts breakdowns/exploded views are not bad for the work on the components, but I find a sever lack of of clear directions or diagrams on how to pull them. During my BL upgrade and changeing to the new motor plate, I never did actually get my tranny out, I was just able to remove the bolts and wiggle it around enough to get the spur off.
I hope I am not sounding too stupid here, but I would really prefer not to have to carry a load of part to the LHS begging for help.
Reason I need to do this work and both trucks spent a lot of time in the water and mud and I notice more noise from the drive train and some more heat than I think is normal on the diffs.
Thanks for your help.
to get the diffs out you have to basically dismantle the entire front or rear of the vehicle. No there is no easy way around it, but you will be able to clean it all out once it is apart.
If it didn't break you can do it again.
