    Anyone Make heat sink + fan for Neu 1515?

    My MMM 1515 1y motor is getting to 190 degrees! And that's geared really low 18/68.. Not running on grass. Just pavement not running it too hard.. My guess is the outside temp (it's like 90 degrees) the batteries are just barely hitting 105 degrees and the esc is at about 150.

    anything similar.. anyone know of any that will fit the BL 1515 1y motor? those are 38mm and the 1515 is about 42mm..

    I can't believe you need one. You would be the first I have heard of. I live in New Orleans 90+ degrees during the summer and my neu has never been that hot geared 20/51.

    you are under gearing 18/68 on 4s just 30 mph !!

    the best gearing for 4s 62/22 and for 6s 62/20 you will never look at temp with this gearing

    Well thats kinda what I was gonna say but his MMM is 150 I was told that is about where they start thermaling. Maybe there something is binding as well. Gear mesh maybe. There is something wrong here for sure! What kind of batteries are you using?
    My combo stays here: 120-140 Motor. 110-130 MMM. 80-100 6500 30c MA 4s batts. with 72/24 geared for 39mph.

    I'm running (2) 6s 25C 5000 mah ***** lipos in parallel. Nothing is binding, everything rolls smoothly.

    I'm under geared?

    i used the 1515 1y/s all last summer geared 62/22 in grass and on asphalt and i don't think i ever saw over 165 degrees with no fan.
    some people who know alot more about this stuff than i do think using motor fans is just covering a bigger problem. i'm on the fence about that.

    anyway, this combo will fit on the neumotor perfectly.

    i've since replaced the fan with a slightly larger 12V fan i can run on a 3S heli lipo instead of running it from the reciever. i can drop my temps by about 30 degrees with this combo.

    I think you're geared too low. Your motor is at max rev most of the time, thus the overheating.

    With this gearing, you should run it on 4S max.

    Thanks! i never thought of that.. duhh... Guess i will gear up some, hows 22/65 sound?

    I think you guys were right about being undergeared I geared it up a LITTLE bit from 18t pinion to a 19T that i had temps are now at 160 on worse conditions for 1 hour of driving I am going to go 20-65 and 22-65 and see which one has cooler temps.
