I've got the new E-Revo Brushless #5608 with the mamba monster, but I can't find the usb connector for the castle link...
Any hints, please?
I wanted to know about that to. When I'm looking through my stuff it looks like it should be in the box but its not. Do you buy it seperate? Should it have come with it? When you do have it what is it for? Can you reprogram your motor or something?
Revo Brushless first rc car!!
Does Traxxas even include it?
if they do, then you should have a long white USB cable, a small electronic adapter that plugs into the ESC wrapped in clear shrink-tube, and a white & blue CD with software on it.
It allows you to fully program your ESC on your computer, with much more precision than doing it manually, and you get extra options that can't be accessed manually.
When you buy the combo (not with the Revo), there are two versions, 1 with the Castle-Link stuff and 1 without.
Project: BL Revo Race Quad & BL G-Maxx G3R CF Revo
Traxxas does not include the Castle link. It's $20-30 purchased separately, download the latest software version from Castle's site.

it is not included with the 5608 e revo brushless
if you dont break something go higher and faster
With the number of people that bought MMM ESCs and combos, I'm sure people have multiple links laying around not doing anything and would be willing to part with one for less than the $20-30 retail price.
Its not a usb to mini usb like the mamba max. Its usb to the end of your speed control cable that is connected to the radio. You need to buy this cable and unscrew the box that holds the radio, unplug the speed control and plug it into the computer (via your new cable).
I ordered the cable for my brushless E Revo from Traxxas. They sent a usb to mini usb. No software, no clue about location of mini-usb port. They dis say I could d/l the software from their site. Seems a bit much for a standard cable.

Alt-248 on the number pad = °
^^^ correct. The cable you have is meant to connect one of the above Castle links to your computer. The mini end plugs into the Castle link, the big end plugs into your computer. And the ESC plugs into the Castle link.
When i bought mine i searched high and low for that little cord, never found it , then i realized it was a "sold seperatly" item, pretty dissapointing
8 traxxas models and counting....
