the way i see it, if it needs modification to fit then that means it was not meant to go on. the summit stock parts are more than durable and cheaper than aftermarket parts.

I had to mod the front body mount a little to get around the t'lock arm on the front diff. Other than that, that's all i modded. the rest fit perfectly. Just bashed the crap out of it down the street from my house. crawling on big piles of rock/boulder and some good 5 footers off a pile of tanbark. Thing held up like a champ. I've got the best of both. looks and function.

I am now off to clean the darn thing and relube bearings...

BTW, I will say that the integy plastic body posts are too brittle and tend to snap. I replaced those with some more flexible HPI plastic posts and it withstood a couple knarly speed rolls.

Yup, these HPI one's seem to bend alot better though and don't break. The one's that came with the mounts busted right away. I can personally say that integy's plastic posts are bogus. The rest of it i'm satisfied with so far.

Yup. They're hops up that i had to Mod (Modify) one to fit. If you look at the pic of the front body mount, I had to shave around the front diff arm to get it to fit correctly.

Thanks Savage! How's that 5B? I saw one at my LHS and those things look insane. 1/6th scale and pump gas.... I'm a fan. Wanna get one and strap my GF's annoying cat to it. No worries, animal activists. I'd give it a helmet for rollovers. J/k of course!
