i dont know much about electric as i am a nitro guy, but i want a mini revo
hey everyone, im a nitro guy just trying to get the best of both worlds. i have been looking at the mini and thinking about going with one of those..
my question is, on the site, they say 30+ out of the box with the provided battery, and then it says 50+ with additional battery.
does this mean on lipos or does it mean 50+ for just another traxxas battery.
the speed of these lipos look crazy but i dont know if i want to dish out the cash on the lipo..
if its only another traxxas battery, then how fast will these go on lipo? 2s, 4s, 6s,? (sorry i dont know anything about the lipos)
Out of the box, three-cell lipos will be the maximum due go the low voltage cutoff built into the speed controller.
I'll let other members address the rest of your concerns.
It will only take 3s and maby 4s lipo.
Traxxas says 50+ with 2xnimh what it will hit with lipos will be a guess.

These small lipos really aren't that expensive.
There are cheap lipo-only chargers too.
well this is also just talk....i love speed and i know when i am going 45-50 on the nimh packs, that i will want more speed...
Speed speed speed.. shoot ya. Speed begets speed more on pavement.
But when you're going that fast offroad, even in a seemingly smooth outfield, the smallest dip is going to toss you out of control.
i know, i have had the speed before and i love it, even if i cant control it.. i had a jato 3.3 and a 4-tec 3.3....didnt like the 2wd of the jato and if i could drive the 4tec in the grass then i would have keeped it.
