if my bettery starts to get warm, can i put it in the freezer for a few minutes? or will it blow up?
no, it is warm from a chemical reaction within the battery, it might not blow up but it will definitley damage the battery and may be dangerous.
your probably better off putting it on a window ledge for a cool breeze than trying to force it cold.

what about a refridgerator?
Gets warm from what? Charging or running? Why do you want to put it in the freezer?Originally Posted by specialone70

Does it get warm or HOT? Warm is fine, and won't hurt the battery
I might be wrong, but, as long as it does'nt get above 125F it will be fine.
My charger stops charging when a nimh get to 116f. So As long as it not that hot it should be fine. Just let it air cool.
Don't put it in the freezer.. just use a small computer or any fan when charging and after running the pack in the truck.. i do this and my packs never go over 88 or so degrees when charging at 8 amps.
Don't put them in the refrigerator, either. Heck, I don't even cool mine with a fan. I just let them do their thing. So long as they don't get over 120F while charging or 140F after a run, you should be fine.
