I just got a new summit, and I dont really care for the antenna sticking out of the body. Is it ok to cut the tube and just leave the rest of the wire coiled up in truck?
I'm not sure that would be the best idea. if you do that you might not get a lot of range from the transmitter. So i would say to just leave it like it is.

Iam not sure if just cutting the tube would effect the range or not.
Ive seen where others have shortened the tube and had a make shiftwire support under body for reception.
you want the anntena to stick out from the body when it is on, 1-2 inches is a maximum.
The biggest thing i've broken: My wallet.
just get a futaba 4pk radio then you have a short antenna
