Drowned my summit in my friends pool and it still ran! I know its waterproof and all but it felt weird to see it still running under water. It actually floats for a while until the tires start taking on some water. Every rim has 2 vent holes on the inside and when the water gets inside it gets real heavy and sinks it! You can squeeze the water out of the rims pretty easy but you gotta keep doing it until it starts bubbling air. This thing is Awesome! Glad Traxxas came out with this Truck, by far the best all around RC truck that I have ever had!
tie wieghts to it and go along the floor! wicked
Is it a good idea to completely submerge it? Looks like it be blast!
I would say no. It will reduce the life of your motor. Who really cares though? Just means you get to upgrade faster right? How cool would it be to see one of those running along the bottom of a pool?!?

The biggest thing i've broken: My wallet.
Heebz, I put my Summit through a similar run. Even after a lot of tire squishing and 5 days to dry out, I still get a lot of wobble at high speeds - like there is water stuck in the tires. Did you have any issues like that?
Also, I am getting some serious gear grinding shifting from low to high, did you experience anything like that?
Monstered Slash/Mamba Max - Stock Summit
this sounds so much fun. next time you do that can you make a video of it?
grinding gears is not a good thing, you should check that out, maybe look for rust even though its waterproof.Originally Posted by Mad_Dawg

You gotta position the tires so one hole is on the bottom so the water can get pulled there with gravity then squeeze the crap out of them. I kept doing it like 10 to 15 times and was surprized that there was water still coming out Let it sit for like 30 minutes then try. As for the grinding your talking about I dont even try to shift on the fly I stop the truck totally then shift, I did it one time and it didnt sound good man so I just dont do it anymore.
