That's a great vid. Funny about the tool box What a great bashing spot! but I'm sure you know about trees eh! They sometimes move in the path of your truck so watch out, they're sneeky.
    It's been fun. See ya.

I don't know, it seems like a lot of work and very costly. I'd rather just start with the assembled ERBE and upgrade from there. Have fun!!

It's hard to strip a spur with an E-Maxx ! Despite all the big jumps/crashes I did with my E-Maxx, I think I stripped the spur maybe only twice

Yea, this was the first one I stripped after over a year of running. Still, a little extra hardware is always nice.

    - V2 -

    New look !!

I needed new lipo packs (and therefore a new chassis) so I decided to change the look of my ERBE as well ! Here is the result :

    What's new !

    - ******* 5000mAh 2s 20C hardcase lipo packs
    - Black died chassis/rockers
    - RC Solutions black rollcage
    - Home-made rear brace
    - FullForce RC carbon pushrods
    - HPP motor bracket prototype

I replaced my SMC 6000mAh 2s 28C lipo packs because they lost their power and puffed during charge and discharge. So I decided to test the cheap ******* packs :

Black chassis ! Simple, common mod and great result :

I cut and dremel these spots to install my lipo packs :

To protect the wires and to reinforce the chassis/bulk spots I bought a rollcage (4 months to get it due to post office malfunctioning...). Looks really strong and easy to install (don't forget threadlock). I raised a bit the body so that it doesn't rub too much against the rollcage :

I had bought FullForce RC pushrods a long time ago. Traxxas optional pushrods are great, I just wanted to test the carbon ones They are really lighter ! Carbon pushrods vs Traxxas (desanodized) tubes :

I found some liquid tape to cover the worn motor wires (finally !), excellent product :

Here are some close pics :

Looks Great, Now all you need to do is the antenna mod.

IMO, the stock position is just plain silly...

    Here's mine for reference:

    Popoxx: ******* 5000mAh 2s 20C hardcase lipo packs

I was under the impression that those would not be sufficient packs for the mmm/cc combo. Please let us know how they work out for you.
Just rub some dirt on it, it'll be fine.......

They work just fine, you just have to watch your gearing. The motor doesnt require 120a at all times, just under full throttle.

I have the nitro version, its awsome, it protects, and keeps the chassis from flexing. Im going to add one to mine shortly.

i'v been looking at those carbon fibre rods from fullforcerc.

they seem like the best value and quality of any rods available for the ERBE.
they are so cheap and light and strong. and they're black!

How do you like them so far Popoxx?

    Thanks guys !

SlotterHouse : what's the problem with the antenna ? Mine isn't a problem I don't see yours in your pic

danielhr77 : come here to take it if you dare !

tonkajeep34 : normally the motor mount will be available in June, but HPP often postpone the release date unfortunately

    bigfol : coming Mid-June :

    (Nylon prototype)

    Produced by HPP : http://www.hpp-germany.com/factory-s...ategorie&cat=4

Updates by HPP owner here : http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25060.

David9301, FUNBOSS : tomorrow I run with pdcsq so I will let you know how good are the lipo packs and rollcage

jackka : a RCM member told me yesterday they don't hold out big jumps... I agree with you they look great and are really light, but maybe they aren't as great... We'll see tomorrow ! Traxxas tubes are excellent, no problem with them.

If you look, you'll see mine coming out of the receiver cover. To have the antenna wire go from the receiver, out into the great wide open, and then back up into the antenna holder/tube is a bad design IMO.

And you'll love that roll cage. Eliminates chassis flex extremely well...But I would suggest putting some type of protective materiel around the top part of the roll cage (Top hood area). I'm using Gorilla tape. This will help in preventing the paint from getting worn through by the rollcage when you'r landings are inverted....

Not been here for a while, but as with your e-maxx great work. Nice to see we both had the same idea with the Liquid Tape, I did the same thing a while ago, got a bit trigger happy without the shell on.

    Love the roll cage too.

Slotterhouse- If you check out the RCM thread Popox linked earlier today about this mount there is a guy on there that gives a basic discription of how he used this mount with the Tenko sways. Sorry I'm not more specific I think its on page 2. He had to mod a few small things to get it to work.

Popox- I really like the new look, that roll cage makes it look all kinds of tuff and you did a great job matching up a very nice color skeem. How much weight did your new set up add? I have heard that cage is actually pretty light and you cut weight with the rods as well. I would be really carefull with those 100 amp batts, my 2s 5200 30c *******'s work pretty hard to push my truck geared 18/62... I'm sure if you drive like you said- no WOT and set your timing-0-5, start power- low and brake- 40 you should be ok.

Ahh, Thanks FreakyT333. I found the post, and it doe's confirm that it will be an easy mod to make it work with the Tekno's.

Looks like I'll be in the market....

SlotterHouse : I received the answer from Markus, he doesn't know if the sway bar will fit his final version of the motor mount. Release date : mid-June !

sevenie : thanks ! This product is excellent, but normally, with the rollcage, I think I won't use it anymore !

FreakyT333 : thanks for the comment and tips I forgot to weigh the rollcage and I'm too lazy to dismantle it But my ERBE w/o wheels, body and batts weighs 7lb (3.2kg).

My ERBE is awesome !! With a 4s setup it can endure everything !

I did 2 long bashing sessions with pdcsq today and last week, and the breakages are minor : I bent a rear bumper mount (RPM ones on the way ), I broke a shock rod end and I destroyed this :

Rear axle carrier, stud axle and 2 bearings.

One of my new ******* packs has a connection problem (my charger only recognizes one cell), and another one puffed during its 2nd charge...
Cheap but risky, it's the rule with this type of packs.

And the power of these packs isn't enough for my taste, I will buy more powerful 2s packs soon.

pdcsq will post a vid of our feats soon (I hope ).

Maybe, but I noticed that at the end of the session, during the check-up, it didn't happen after an amazing (or really bad ) jump.
