Well, it took me longer than I thought, but here's my headlight setup. The tires and wheels are off of an old XL-1 'pede which went to the boneyard. The stock tires wore down to almost nothing, so I figured, "any port in a storm". I have yet to figure out how they perform, I hope to find out tomorrow. For the record, they are balanced better than my stock Slash tires.
Here's the under body shot:
Here's how bright the lights are (the picture was taken with a 1/8 sec exposure)
Here's the back:
And here's how I mounted the on/off switch:
EDIT: Please disregard the horridly bent rear shocks.
nice - i like the placement on the switch
The front LED cluster is very baja-ish
Traxxas: Stampede, E Maxx
I had my first tentative test run with the new wheels. I am definitely keeping them, the control on loosely packed gravel is amazingly better, but I have to fix the body rub in the front.
sweet that is the exact light setup i had but no switch and only 5 blue leds in the front bumber holes mounted in led holders from radioshack with washers but ended up wit electronical problems
Yes, I drive an electric converted Nitro Hawk.
What was the problem?
