that's no surprise that the traxxas are basically the same.

Yes it's an Integy replacement tip. But now I have Hudy metric allen wrenches and they are really better than Integy ones

    My E-Maxx is perfect !!

BUT... I think I will buy the 3905 FLM chassis². I would like to mount differently my ESC, to screw RCM custom battery boxes for my future SMC 9000mAh 28C lipo batts, and to have a perfect bellcrank steering system
It's only a project for the moment

Just the same setup as the stock one... The incidence angle of the servos in the 3905 FLM chassis V1 is different from the stock one. Thus the travel of the drag link is shorter (little impact though).

But if we're talking about THE bellcrank steering system, you're probably right Bandit_Kaine

    Breaking news !

My monster went out of its hibernation
The weather is milder so I decided to do a short bash session to tone up my E-Maxx ! And I tested a new BMX track with nice jumps

So... New Vid ! (short I know... ).

Link (watch it in high quality) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXxBipZ_w2Q

Before the session I opened the tranny box to fill it with Gorilla Snawt grease :

And after the session I discovered that... :

I twisted one ti-nitride shock shaft (it's the first time !).

I often break the front turnbuckles so I'm going to buy the optional Traxxas ones : http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...FVSEARCH=5141A.

    Next options :
    - Optional Traxxas turnbuckles
    - SMC 9000mAh 28C 2s lipo batts w/ hardcase
    - Custom RCM battery trays (later)
    - 3905 FLM chassis² (later)

    Tchao !

How the heck did your twist a shock shaft? I've never seen that! Of course, now that I've said that, it'll happen to me.

    traxxas basher : yes

mkrusedc : thanks, it was funny to test new humps

    Gamers160 : Bad Horsie http://www.badhorsie.com/

jkelly2900 : high speed + stump = bad result... The shock shaft is slightly twisted but I need to change it. I have spare shaft of course

I have been reading your thread because I am converting a T-Maxx to and E-Maxx. I drive my RCs like you do. I love your build and am using some of your ideas.

It is so refreshing to see a vid where someone knows how to drive. You have great throttle control in the air. It is fun, I know, I have mastered back flips, front flips, high stalls and so forth with my T-Maxx. I have watched so many vids where I am yelling at the driver LET OFF THE GAS, as the land on the back bumper. I'm sure you know what I mean.

    Thanks for your great post.

I saw your thread concerning your problem No "stuttering" at all with 6-cell Nimh or lipo batts with my HV6.5 But this system is much more "user-friendly" than the HV4.5 model... My setup works great and is very reliable & durable I read that the HV4.5 is more "temperamental" but I have never read feedback concerning stuttering... Sorry

    New tires !!

I bought the Proline Masher tires and they are great I used them in my last vid And I use the same Maximizer beadlocks (w/ ring shims FYI).

I use my Mulcher and Masher tires both for my E-Maxx and E-Revo (cost-cutting ).

looks good, i would buy the ofna foams as they are stiffer than the stock ones that come with the tires. it will make a big difference when you hit/go over things.

Popoxx, how on earth did you happen to bust that servo saver the way you did???! You said you hit a tree but wow... I'm thinking that maybe I need to beef up in that area. Page 7.

I know that your E-Revo has just about taken over but how is this list going? lol

Héhéhé My E-Maxx was in the airs and one of the front wheel banged a tree so the weakest point broke, and it seems that it was this part of the steering bellcrank... I replaced it and no problem so far. This steering bellcrank is great, no need to replace it with an alu one IMO

    Update :

    - The turnbuckles will be soon here.
    - I'm going to order SMC 6000mAh 28C hardcase 2s packs (finally the 9000mAh packs aren't in hardcase).
    - I'm going to order one custom battery tray to see how it fits the FLM chassis.
    - And later I will buy the FLM chassis².
+ There will be a great surprise in some months

I'm still a student (trainee at IBM currently) and as I live in my parents' home this year (= low expenses ) I can spend my paycheck in RC But next year it's will be different, the expenses will increase a lot !! (rent, car, food, taxes... etc.).
And the exchange rate USD/EUR allows me to buy all these options

    madd_maxx08 : $1 = €0.74 today 2008 was an excellent year :

If I were Canadian like Traxxasbasher I couldn't buy all this stuff ! (sorry dude ).

Kcaz25 : yes I use these springs (green super hard) for a long time they are perfect. I use them with a big spacer for every shock + 50w oil.

    New Vid !

Great session at the BMX track (a new one) !! Lots of jumps and no breakage Enjoy ! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4tT56xoVXI (watch in HQ).

    Update :

    - Traxxas Toe Links Maxx w/Rod Ends (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWER3) :

I use some pushrod spacers (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHRB8) with these toe links because I don't like the gap between the rod ends and the tube.

    - The SMC 6000mAh 28C hardcase 2s packs will be soon here
    - The custom battery trays will be soon here x2
    - The surprise is still a surprise
