Hello, I'm new to the Hobby Grade RC World but very happy I finally purchased one. I've done a lot of research and the Rustler was just the perfect Truck for me and apparently many others. My main reason for choosing Traxxas was for the plethora of aftermarket and stock support. My local hobby shop has Everything I need at this point. I've owned my Rustler for a few days now and so far I've installed a 14 tooth Pinion Gear from Robinson Racing and the Traxxas Wheelie Bar Mount, which makes a great Motor Guard. I did go ahead and purchase a 4amp charger since I feel I'll need to stick to Nicad and the Titan Motor for a bit of time. Maybe go through a couple of 12Ts before I go Brushless. Anyways, glad to be here.

Traxxas Bandit with Rustler rear arms and the other necessary components to make that mod work, ideally a Rustler with Bandit body...

    Anyways, the following is fitted:
    - Proline Dirt Hawg III 2.2" on Proline Velocity 2.2" dishes
    - Custom (homemade) steel front bumper and rear motor guard
    - Hot Racing TD100X06 rear big bore shocks (fronts coming when the stocks break...)
    - Velineon 3s system

No fancy aftermarket parts like a lot of the other people on here but I am only 16 so money is not plentiful quite yet. It started off as a XL-5 Bandit that I got when I was 11 and I have recently poured a bit of money into it to get it working well and reliably It works and it's great for me!

^ The car is not on and the wheel is turned if anyone is questioning the ridiculous toe-in!

Here is my Rustler VXL. It was the first cover i ever painted, so please just ignore the flaking off. i should of sanded it, but i really didn't. It is a bashing car, so that why i don't mind about it.
I have Aluminum Bulkhead and Transmission case.
My official ESC fan broke, so I took a spare fan i Had, it cools great!
I put Traxxas Big Bore Shocks.
    The front Arms are RPM.
