wow it seems geared very high. Does the .26 max have the power to get that gear off the line well. The .26 is my next engine but I was not sure of the gearing to use. On the 3.3 I use a 14tclutch and 40t spur. how will the .26 geared the way you are talking about compare on low-end.

Better low end than a 3.3!! I run a 17/36 with my Picco, not to help with mesh, but to help keep the front end down.

Mutant melon what mount are you using?

New2nitro3.3 the picco .26max has tons of power you can use a 17/36 combo and still lift the wheels of the ground in first and second. I have mine setup so I spin all four tires on take off. Its fun to watch em smoke

I have the suspension in the rear set up really soft with a wheelie bar. When you hit the gas the rear sags. The wheelie bar acts like a drag bar preventing the front end from lifting up keeping all four tires on the ground. Just sit back and watch em smoke. When you want to stiffen the suspension back up all you do is adjust the pre-load on the shocks and off you go. Anyone want to buy some slicks I'm making my own. HAHA

This issue has nothing to do with your gearing. If you are using the Ofna mount, you are going to have to file the sides a little bit to get more adjustability. I had to file the holes a little to. I haven't tried the 17/36 combo yet. I switch out between 16/38, 15/38, 16/40 and 15/40.

Well, maybe someday when I finish adding all the alum parts I want and my revo weights 3000lbs like a real car, then it just might burn rubber and smoke the tires

But for now it just spins the tires with no burning rubber

lol smoke or no smoke. Not realy the issue. Will the picco takeoff well with the 17t and 36t. I am sure the picco is way fast but when I put it in I want the snap off the line. Smokin tires would be great but Im not holding my breath I just want be quicker than the 3.3 with 14t/40t combo. If I can get away with that tall a gear its just that much better. Want to hear from people that have used that gear setup.

Yes, the picco have enought power to flip on its lid with 17/34, mine was flipping on its lid on 2nd gear shift with that gearing.

I had suspension lowered to max, bowtie 40 series . 17/36

In fact, it will be faster with that gearing in both accelerations and top speed.
The stock gearing is just too short for the picco IMO
